Dr. Samuel Catalanatto began his college education at Southeastern Louisiana University. He then transferred to Parker University in Dallas, TX to begin the Doctor of Chiropractic program. While completing the chiropractic program, he also earned a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness. He graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in April 2013.
Dr. Samuel Catalanatto has also obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™). This training will aid the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP® certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum competency level in chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Catalanatto joins over 5500 others internationally and 17 others in Louisiana who hold this designation.
Dr. Catalanatto is certified in Graston Technique, which helps detect and treat any muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, and nerve symptoms. He is certified in Dry Needling to help alleviate pain, improve muscle functioning, and to restore optimal performance of the body. He is certified in Blood flow restriction training from BStrong, which helps strengthen muscles and improve the functioning of movement. He also holds certifications from Rocktape to help improve the central nervous system and musculoskeletal system functioning.
He has vast knowledge in treating extremities and utilizing Kinesio taping in order to help improve mobilization, stabilization, and alleviate pain. Dr. Catalanatto’s education and certifications have allowed him to treat patients ranging from: infants, children, elderly, and athletes ranging from the weekend warrior to Olympic. He has been the Team Chiropractor for Southeastern Louisiana University for the past two years, in which he helps all the athletes perform at the top of their game.
